| UTP Alumni Fundraising & Charity Dinner 2006 |  |
| On the 4th of February 2006, at the Dewan Permata PETRONAS, UTP Alumni Association has organized the Fundraising & Charity Dinner, in collaboration with Pertubuhan Penyayang Ar-Raudah. Pertubuhan Penyayang Ar-Raudah is an organization that provides shelters and basic needs for orphanages and unfortunate children around Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. | |

This inaugural dinner event was attended by Dr Rosti Saruwono, Vice President Education Division of PETRONAS, Dr. Zainal Abidin Hj Kassim, Rector Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Tn Hj Muhamad B Jurimi, Director, Management Services & Student Affairs of UTP, UTP Alumni members, the sponsors from various companies and organizations and as well as the public. This event also was made successful with the companies of the kids from Pondok Penyayang Ar-Raudhah together with the kids from Ti’ratana Welfare Society and Rumah Ilham Yayasan Anak-anak Yatim.. The Project Director of this event, Mr M. Hilmi B Hasan, in his welcoming speech, mentioned about his hope that this event would be able to raise fund for the association, to give contribution to the society through donation, to gather UTP graduates as many as possible and last but not least, to introduce and establish links with the community and corporate entities. In accordance to the theme “Supporting A New Beginning”, this event is significant as it is a stepping-stone for UTP Alumni to leap forward in organizing more events in the future for the benefit to the alumni members as well as to the society. This event has received a number of contributions from business entities, as well as individuals. Among the major contributors include PC Automation Sdn. Bhd., PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd., Malaysia LNG Sdn. Bhd., Benua Sains Sdn. Bhd., Kuantan Usaha Jaya Sdn. Bhd. and Cytechsys Sdn. Bhd. There were few performances from UTP Gamelan, Pondok Penyayang Ar-Raudhah and montage show as to make the event as something sweet and a memorable one. Few rounds of lucky draws were happily cherished and remembered by the less-fortunate kids. The appreciation ceremony were conducted as to present UTP Alumni token of appreciation to all companies which has been sponsoring and buying tables and seats. Some contribution from the sponsorship and fund collected were handed to the three celebrated houses; Pondok Penyayang Ar-Raudhah, Ti’ratana Welfare House and Rumah Ilham. The organizing committee of ‘UTP Alumni Fund Raising and Charity Dinner 2006’ would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who had provided assistance in whatever ways. | Career Expose In Conjunction With TEC Week |  |
| This Career session was held in conjunction of Technology, Economy and Career Week of Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP). UTP Alumni was invited to share experiences, knowledge and success stories with the students. Participants are from both engineering and technology courses. About 120 participants were gathered and 10 alumni members took part and join this event. | |

Date & Day: 25 March 2006, Saturday Itinerary: Sunday (26 March 2006) The evening session was an outdoor activity, which includes a few games. The games were created for the students to have fun while learning some lesson learnt and key-points, which could be applied later when they step into the real working life. Games conducted were – friendship ball, LEGO and Tower of Hanoi. Thanks to Mr. Rajinder Singh a motivator from Kampungku Adventure Team who did sponsored the modules and logistics for this activity. Mr. Azamil Izzat Nazlan Ozizi hosted the night session and this sharing session was conducted in a manner similar to the David Letterman show and thus the name– Betman Show. A few alumni members volunteered to be interviewed and they did share points and tips on career prospective.
Some games were as well conducted and handled by a few other alumni members as to spice up the session. The night was ended with social gathering between the alumnus and the students. | UTP Alumni Iftar 2005 |  |
| The UTP Alumni Iftar was held on Saturday, 22nd October 2005 (18th Ramadan 1426). It was held at the D'Tandoor Restaurant in Damansara, Kuala Lumpur. This was the first event organized by the UTP Alumni that has been conducted outside of the UTP campus. | |

The main objective of this event was to strengthen the bonds of friendship among members. Through this event, the members of various batches meet and get to know each other. Apart from that, the purpose of organizing this event was to update the alumni database especially members who have switched jobs or changed addresses. The event also was a meeting point between members and the alumni committee members. Comments and suggestions for the benefit of the alumni were notified to the committee for further action. Future activities of alumni, especially the charity dinner that will be held in February 2006, were also disseminated to the alumni members. There were around one hundred members who turned up for the iftar. Everyone was required to put in his or her signatures into the Alumni Guest Book. The event officially started at 6.15 p.m. While waiting for the time to break fast, guests were shown the UTP corporate video presentation. The alumni president, Mr. Anang Hudaya M Amin, presented the welcoming speech during the feast. The guests had the flexibility to continue their meal after they have performed their Maghrib prayers at the nearby mosque. | Sharing A Survival Experience |  |
| The event taken place in conjunction with the Minggu Aluan Siswa (MAS) held at UTP. This is a bi-annual event, conducted by any speaker among UTP alumni. This session is a sharing experience session to give an overview to the new students / 'freshies' about UTP from a student point of view. The speaker will give tips on how to study, communicate with all sorts of students and answer any queries that new students might ask. Good and bad stories are also shared together with real experience and happenings during those days. | |

The stories which are shared: Weekend, Study, Plans, Holidays, Co-curriculum activities, Health, exams, friends, family, breaks and motivation issues. Pictures, and videos of UTP before were also delivered as to share some history of UTP itself. Questions and answer session were done at the end of the session informally.
