
On the 10th December 2011, UTP Alumni Association, UTP Career Advisory & Alumni Unit, UTP Alumni Thailand Chapter (TAA) and UTP Thailand Student Association (TSA) had collaborated in a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Programme in Hat Yai, Thailand. The programme took place at the SOS Children Village, approximately 30KM from the border. The SOS Children Village is under its international umbrella organisation, SOS-Kinderdorf International – an independent, non-governmental international development organisation which has been working to meet the needs and protect the interests and rights of children since 1949. The village focuses on orphan, abandoned and needy children.

On 9th December 2011, UTP Alumni welcomed another addition to its family through the establishment of its branch in Pasir Gudang, Johor. The event started with the sharing of UTP Alumni activities by Ms Penny Goh, the representative of UTP Alumni Association. The event continued with an officiating speech by Tuan Haji Talhah Hasan, Senior Manager of Student Support Services Department by stressing on the role of alumni members and how they can contribute back to their alma mater.
UTP Alumni Homecoming 2011

On Saturday 15th October 2011, UTP Alumni Association has marked another significant milestone by organizing the inaugural UTP Alumni Homecoming. The event was conducted at the Multi Purpose Hall (MPH) UTP and attended by almost 80 alumni members and family, and the special guests. With the objectives to strengthen the networking among alumni and share UTP and UTP Alumni updates with them, the event was held in conjunction with 2011 UTP Convocation ceremony.

UTP Alumni once once again organised its 2nd UTP Alumni Futsal Challenge. The event which was held at the Ampang Sports Planet on 23rd July 2011, gathered 70 alumni members and family members. The objectives of the event were to gather the alumni and strengthening the networking, while promoting and delivering the news and updates of UTP Alumni Association and UTP. This event was collaboration with the University’s Career Advisory and Alumni Unit.
