On 9th December 2011, UTP Alumni welcomed another addition to its family through the establishment of its branch in Pasir Gudang, Johor. The event started with the sharing of UTP Alumni activities by Ms Penny Goh, the representative of UTP Alumni Association. The event continued with an officiating speech by Tuan Haji Talhah Hasan, Senior Manager of Student Support Services Department by stressing on the role of alumni members and how they can contribute back to their alma mater.
In conjunction with the establishment, UTP Career Advisory & Alumni Unit and the UTP Alumni Association took the opportunity to visit Persatuan Kebajikan Darul Hanan in Pasir Gudang. We donated story books, reference books for SPM, stationeries and some sports equipment. Tuan Haji Talhah led the discussion with Puan Norhayani, the principal of the centre on how UTP Alumni Pasir Gudang can play a role in helping the students to improve their academic. UTP Alumni Pasir Gudang has stated their interest to assist the centre in any ways possible.
